- Extensive Public Participation and Social Facilitation
- Restoring and rehabilitating hiking trail (PSJ to Coffee Bay) – 70km
- Upgrading safety, environmental quality, & facilities on the trail
- General cleaning and clearing of the trail
- Invasive alien plant removal along the entire 70km trail
- Erosion control measures along trail and staircase construction using ‘soft’ engineering techniques
- Re-vegetation, Greening and landscaping at the hiking trail’s 4 overnight camps: Mngazana, Mpande; Hluleka; Mngcibe; and at the Port St. Johns tourism centre.
- Environmental Awareness, Health & Safety, and Invasive Alien Plants Training
- Skills transfer to beneficiaries from all 3 of the Local Municipalities and tribal authorities
